I'm am grateful for the opportunity to have participated in this level up project. Tutoring FNCE 301 and helping my peers at school has been an overall positive experience.

Great semester with an excellent team of tutors and our wonderful employer Dr. Ghosh. Looking forward to the winter semester!

Working with Professor Ghosh is amazing. He will make sure to ask what is needed, provides any resource related to the course, and help us with anything we need. I highly recommend him.

The fall term felt like a success. Collaborating with Paige, Riley, and Christiana was a highly rewarding experience. Our team excelled in providing mutual support, enhancing our collective performance. Our effective communication skills were instrumental in assisting all students, ensuring they left the tutoring room with a sense of relief and clarity. This was evident in the feedback we received from students who appreciated the help!

I enjoyed the opportunity to expand my relationships at Macewan working alongside the other tutors and helping students. Many students were very grateful that we have these tutoring services and I'm proud that we got to make a difference in their education experience.

I enjoyed the second half of this project, especially working with students to help them have a better understanding of FNCE 301 topics.

Pros: - Professors and admin staff very supportive and encouraging - Flexible schedule with consideration of academic constraints - Requests for additional teaching material (e.g. textbooks) were fulfilled promptly and without problems - Usage of TeamUp web app for scheduling made tracking hours and seeing schedules very easy. Cons: - Being asked to do additional work outside of the actual tutoring felt tacked on and were not really what I signed up for - Relative lack of structure for matters such as communications - Relative lack of vetting students joining the program led to some challenging moments of trying to coordinate - A lot of students making use of the service were confused about the nature of the tutoring program, leading me to believe that overall communication and expectation setting by the faculty was lacking - A lot more enforcing of student guidelines (e.g. this is a 5-10 minute drop-in for multiple students rather than a 1 hour+ 1 on 1 session) than anticipated TL;DR: Can be a rewarding experience if you enjoy helping fellow students succeed and generally enjoy teaching, just be aware that it is not JUST tutoring and requires a lot of self-initiated organization.

Dianne is a very passionate instructor and is dedicated to improving her students' experience by making concepts easy to digest and visually interesting to engage with. She was pleasant to work with, gave constructive feedback, and worked alongside me to accomplish her goals. It has been a very positive experience as a student in the workforce.

Dr. Ghosh is always amazing to work with. He is quick to respond to any communications, he offers his help in any way possible. If there are disruptions, he works quickly to try to solve the problem. I am happy that I was able to work with him for a few projects.

This phase of the project was great. It was definitely more busy in the rooms than it was last year. We have been getting many questions from MGTS113 but, of course, we are happy to help! Looking forward to phase 2.

So far I am enjoying this project a lot. I enjoy the community of tutors and how we get to take things at our own pace, like submitting tutoring videos and completing other volunteer hours. I also like that when we request supplies, like a textbook or a calculator, the request is responded to promptly and accordingly. I also like that many more students are coming for help now and that all of our tutors are versatile in their knowledge; for situations where I need help clarifying a concept. My overall impression of this project is exceptional satisfaction!

I loved working with the tutors and our employer this semester as always. We have a such a positive and hard-working team of individuals.

The faculty were always available to answer questions and support us with any needed resources or advice.

During my time as an FNCE 301 tutor, my experience working with my employer was overwhelmingly positive. From the onset, Raina/the administrators provided an environment that fostered both personal and professional growth. Her consistent support and guidance ensured I had the necessary tools and resources to succeed in my role. Furthermore, the open channels of communication allowed for constructive feedback, which was invaluable in refining my approach. I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to have worked under such an understanding and encouraging administration.

Dr. Ghosh is always great to work with. He is supportive of us, and willing to help out in any way. He answers emails promptly, as well, he frequently stops by the tutor room to check in on us. He supplied us with all the necessary tools we asked for in order to complete the project as best as we could.

I enjoyed my overall time these past six weeks being available in the tutor room. In the future I would like more direction for what is allowed as volunteer hours.

MacEwan's business tutoring services are an opportunity to connect and build up fellow peers. I am proud to be a member of this community, where we encourage approaching education from multiple perspectives with a variety of techniques!

Dr. Ghosh is one of the most compassionate people I have met. It has been a pleasure attending his lectures, as well as working alongside him during this project. He is always reachable via email, and he does a good job at checking in to make sure we have everything we need to complete the project. You can tell he truly cares about his students and their success in and out of the classroom.

I had a great experience working on this project by being able to learn new skills and improve on existing ones. Throughout this project we had a great form of communication and were able to share our opinions and ideas. Thank you for this opportunity.
