Requirements
Has your organization been looking for ways to improve work process and worker's production ratios?
Beginning this January, graduate student-consultants in teams of 3 to 4 will spend 40-50 hours per team working for your organization around a topic of your choice, related to production and process efficiency.
Based on the information your organization provides and industry research, the group will go through the process of opportunity recognition, feasibility analysis, and obtaining stakeholder buy-in to provide your organization with recommendations to improve current production and process standing.
Some examples include, but is not limited to:
- Analyze workflow layout settings and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Analysis of operations performed at a particular work setting/workstation and the tools, equipment, and places where these occur
- Analyze and provide recommendations to enhance construction trade crews, e.g. bricklayers, carpenters, mechanical, etc.
- Enhancing both value-added and non-value-added work processes
- Reducing idle work time.
- Recommendations for enhancing health and safety.
- Increased production ratios.
