detail oriented press releases resourcefulness record keeping data integrity social media campaigns allyship data collection researchOverview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Data Collection Coordinator to support a project focused on gathering and organizing data on the public 2025 Pride Month support of 500 Canadian for-profit and 250 non-profit companies and their previously published allyship from the past 5 years. This role involves comprehensive research, meticulous record-keeping, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information collected from a variety of sources, including company websites, social media, news outlets, and official statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and compile a target list of 750 Canadian organizations (in collaboration with the research team).
- Research each company’s public stance and activities related to Pride Month, including:
- Social media campaigns
- Public statements or press releases
- Participation in Pride events
- Donations or partnerships with LGBTQIA+ organization
- Document findings in a structured database with consistent tagging and categorization.
- Track changes or updates throughout the month of June and flag notable shifts in support or engagement from 2020-2025.
- Coordinate with research team to ensure alignment with broader project goals.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure sources are credible and verifiable.
Providing specialized, in-depth knowledge and general industry insights for a comprehensive understanding.
Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
