The purpose of the site is to promote a new brand called RacerX. RacerX is a mysterious character and brand mascot for RacerX racing team(s) who compete in various racing series in Canada, USA and abroad.
The site will be created to attract fans to a site whereby users can read about RacerX and his race team as well as all of his social media and buy RacerX merchandise supplied by a 3rd party drop shipper.
It must have API's that attach to specific feature functionalities as well as seamless integrations with social media, stripe, PayPal, square, a shopping cart and integrated Comet Chat for chat, click2call and video chat functionalities.
The site should have Zoom integrated so that large scale live meetings can take place.
We would like a media wall called the wall of fame - where members can post photos videos of themselves on the website
We would like to leverage the leading edge technology stack and open source solutions that are mobile friendly.
We prefer React JS Node and No SQL Db or MySQL open source but we are open to discussion.
We aren’t committed to which platform it will be built on, but we have an idea of what we would like it to do. We will work with students to develop a new website for us.
Students should be prepared to:
Conduct a needs analysis to determine which technology stack and or platform is most suitable.
Create a design proposal including mock-ups, budget, and timeline.
Build a fully-functioning website.
Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.
No deliverables exist for this project.
Students will receive weekly mentorship zoom calls with C-Level employees and company owner - Monday and Friday 30-60 minutes
Students will be provided a slack channel and online project mgmnt solution to streamline efforts and improve response times
