Our company would like to design a mobile application for iOS and Android. We are a startup and have single parents waiting to use the mobile application. We have a prototype built in Figma but need to fix/update the design.

We would like a group of students to design a mobile application

This will involve:

• Conduct background research of existing web application for the product
• Identify key areas of our current product and how they might translate to a mobile application
• Learn and use various software design tools. We have the prototype build in Figma so students should know this tool
• Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a native mobile application which can be used on both iOS and Android

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

• Familiarize themselves with our existing product
• Familiarize themselves with the Figma design tool and understand how it works
• Design and build inside of the design tool all the needed screens for a mobile application prototype of our product
• Present the final design screens to us with the context of all their choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend

Bonus steps would include:

• Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this

Final deliverables should include:

• The design screens and all assets in a shareable format to us
• A presentation as stated above of the final designs
• Further iOS and Android mobile app development

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

• Product understanding and design
• Industry standard design tools and applications
• Branding, styling and design advice
• Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter
• Founder is available anytime
