Event and Program Management Internship Opportunity

Our organization is deeply committed to serving our target population, but we are currently facing funding challenges. To help meet our goals, we are excited to collaborate with students in planning and executing a fundraising event.


Key Responsibilities:

Students will be involved in multiple aspects of event and program management, including:


Familiarizing with Mission, Values, and Goals:

  • Understand and align with our organization's mission, values, and fundraising objectives to ensure the event supports our broader goals.

Budget Estimation and Planning:

  • Work with the team to estimate and establish the budget for the fundraising event, considering all costs and potential revenue.

Program and Event Coordination:

  • Create a detailed plan of action and task breakdown for volunteers to ensure all aspects of the event are covered and run smoothly.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and volunteer coordination.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the event, utilizing digital platforms, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Collaborate on the creation of promotional materials to engage the target audience and maximize attendance.

On-site Event Support:

  • Provide support during the event, ensuring all tasks are completed, volunteers are managed effectively, and the event runs according to plan.

Bonus Steps:

  • Recommend improvements for future events and programs, based on feedback and outcomes from the current plans to help refine and enhance our event and program strategies.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of our mission, values and goals
  • Establishment of the event budget
  • Creation of a plan of action

Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommending areas of improvement for future events and programs

Final deliverables should include

  • An event and program plan.

Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
