The goal is to design a prototype for a native mobile application version of a matching service for professional networking.
This project offers learners the opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, focusing on user-centric design and agile development methodologies.
This project will involve:
- Identifying key areas of our current product and how they might translate to a mobile application.
- Developing a screen-by-screen low- and mid-fidelity prototype of the application using Figma or another design tool of their preference. The prototype needs to be usable on iOS or Android.
Deliverables:
- Familiarize themselves with our existing service.
- Familiarize themselves with Figma (or a preferred agreed-upon tool) and understand how it works - presentation to the founding team.
- Design and build inside of the design tool all the needed screens for a mobile application prototype of our service
- Present the final design screens to us with the context of all the choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.
- Troubleshooting session
Bonus steps would include:
- Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users involving the above-mentioned low- and mid-fidelity prototypes.
Final deliverables should include:
- The design screens and all assets in a shareable format.
Mentorship:
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
