Web-Based Remote Exam Proctoring Solution (cont.)
We are looking for a team to develop the initial phases of a platform for an automated proctoring solution. In the world of exams, a proctor is typically utilized to ensure that the examination is running smoothly (i.e. no cheating, foul play, or other anomalies related to test-taking). As many exams are now taken online, a remote proctor can be used used, requiring one human to proctor around 10 examinees at a time via tracking their computer screen or browser activity, and through computer camera or microphone tracking. We believe much of this process can be automated and scaled in order for one human proctor to eventually track hundreds of examinees at once. The focus of this project will be creating the first phase of the automated proctoring solution that will allow for future enhancement and scaling. We are looking for the solution to be developed as a custom browser utilizing a platform such as Chromium that will also be compliant with the Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) standard. LTI compliance will allow enable integration into Learner Management Systems (LMS) test delivery platforms such as Blackboard and Canvas. This project is broken down into three sections. 1. Connecting and authenticating into the LMS test delivery platform 2. Interpreting user data during exam: By tracking examinee activity in the browser, computer microphone, and computer video camera, we can flag and track certain human behavior anomalies that could determine if an examinee is cheating, for example. 3. Reporting results: For any human behavior anomaly identified during the examination process, provide a recording and time-stamp of the flagged events in a user-friendly way. Invigulus staff can provide greater detail on each of the 3 sections to assist in narrowing the scope. We are available to work with the project team as much or as little as they feel is needed in order to be successful.
