While many patients in need of transplants suffer from a shortage in donors for replacing damaged tissues or organs. 3D Bio-printing is a promising approach for producing tissues and organs in the lab using bio-inks. Additionally, Bio-printed organs in a dish platform can be used for testing drugs’ toxicity and efficacy in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.
We offer "Okagel" a GelMA bio-ink that is affordable, in customized forms (liquid/solid), overnight processed (1-2 days), sterilized, pure, and hazard-free to be used in 3D bioprinters.

Research Assistant
Bioprinting is a form of additive biomanufacturing, a field of manufacturing, that incorporates engineering techniques and biological compounds with material science and electronic knowledge to create 3D shapes and structures with biological properties. Bioprinting brings great manufacturing potential to the biomedical industry as it can facilitate the generation of living 3D structures through the printing of live cells. The use of biological compounds, like living cells, in bioprinting requires the use of certain production materials to protect and support these living components. Specifically, polymer materials with water-holding properties, hydrogels, are used to encapsulate living cells, and support them through the bioprinting process. There are many methods through which cell-laden hydrogels can be used in bioprinting. This project has the objective to review 3D bioprinting state of the art and the development of a vision to build a visible light-based SLA 3D bioprinter.
Website Development
We would like to work with students on a new website for our organization. It can be on any platform that the student believes would be best. Students should be prepared to: Conduct a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable. Create a design proposal including wireframes or low-fidelity mockups for our company's review. Build a fully-functioning website, with our assistance in providing content and copy. Provide training on updating and maintaining the site.
Research Assistant
The research assistants will support the research initiatives under the guidance of research faculty. The project explores the area of biomaterials and its applications. The research assistants will support the start up and its operations in the lab. The project may include, but is not limited to: Searching and preparing reports on existing similar patents and research papers. Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the development of research projects. Visualization of data from results Working with senior level in the design and execution of empirical tests. Supports the project/study by surveying literature and using existing tools to generate data. Writing reports and assisting with writing grant applications in terms of conceptualization and articulation.
