This project combines user-centered design and marketing strategy to improve the interface of the MentaMorph financial literacy game – specifically focused on business clientele. Learners will focus on two key deliverables: (1) improving the usability and design of the game’s interface using Figma and (2) adding commercial/business specific skins to the existing financial wellness courses.

Deliverables

Project Scope & Expectations:

Learners will engage in:

·     Conducting UX research and competitive analysis of similar education-based apps

·     Designing improved game flows and UI features in Figma

·     Creating mockups and design assets targeting HR/Benefits managers and educators

 

Project Timeline & Deliverables:

Week 1: Discovery & User Research (~2 hours per learner)

·     Review current gameplay experience and overall app navigation

·     Identify and define primary user personas for corporate demographic (e.g., corporate educators, HR/benefits professionals, hospitality, etc.)

Week 2: UX Audit & Low-Fidelity Wireframes (~4 hours per learner)

·     Conduct a heuristic evaluation of the current interface (usability, flow, accessibility)

·     Draft wireframe concepts addressing usability challenges

·     Deliverable: UX Audit Summary & Wireframe Sketches

Week 3: High-Fidelity UI Design (~6 hours per learner)

·     Design updated interface screens using Figma

·     Apply branding, accessibility standards, and UI best practices

·     Deliverable: High-Fidelity Figma Design Prototype

Week 4: User Flow Mapping & Interaction Design (~6 hours per learner)

·     Build out core user flows for key actions (e.g., onboarding, gameplay navigation)

·     Design interactions (micro-interactions, transitions, hover states)

·     Deliverable: User Flow Maps & Interaction Specs

Week 5: Usability Testing & Iteration (~6 hours per learner)

·     Conduct usability testing (via peer or simulated users)

·     Analyze feedback and refine design for clarity and engagement

·     Deliverable: Usability Testing Summary & Updated Designs

Week 6: Final Handoff & Presentation (~6 hours per learner)

·     Prepare final design package and developer-ready documentation

·     Present improvements and walk through functionality updates

·     Deliverables:

o  Final UI/UX Design Prototype

o  Annotated Design Handoff Files (PDF or Figma)

o  Final Project Presentation Deck
