Bio

PhD candidate | Science Communication | Educator | Research Advocate

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Western University, concentrating on innovative research into the molecular mechanisms behind cancer development. As an Administrative Team Lead for various non-profit organizations, I guide interdisciplinary teams to promote creativity in life sciences research and work with physicians and medical professionals to enhance medical education and clinical research. Alongside my academic and leadership roles, I serve as Blog Lead Coordinator/Editor for the Research Information Outreach Team (RIOT) at the Canadian Cancer Society, where I spearhead initiatives to disseminate critical cancer research findings to the broader community. I am passionate about bridging the gap between scientific discovery and its application in real-world contexts, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge translation.
