Dr. Jacqueline Jamsheed is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Business Department at Elms College. Dr. Jamsheed holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Florida International University, a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Virginia’s Darden School and two undergraduate degrees from Syracuse University. Dr. Jamsheed also holds a Certified of Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Dr. Jamsheed joined Elms after four years of University-level teaching at another institution and 20 years of finance, accounting, risk and manufacturing experience working for fortune 100 companies both in the United States and around the globe. Dr. Jamsheed has expertise in business transformation, operational management, due diligence, acquisition integration, international business, US GAAP technical accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, internal controls management, consolidations and financial reporting for US and Non-US based entities. Dr. Jamsheed has worked and lived in over 30 countries encompassing Asia PAC, Europe and the Middle East. As a first-generation graduate, Dr. Jamsheed enjoys working with other first-generation students in addition to spending her time supporting causes that encourage college participation and college success of underrepresented groups.
