eOceans - Market Research
PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: eOceans was founded with the belief that our ocean can be radically more exciting and valuable if we make faster, informed, inclusive, and collaborative decisions. Our mission is to gather one billion observations a day from ocean explorers and to generate one million personalized analytics per month for informed decisions at local and global scales -- whether you are headed to the beach to surf, deciding whether or not to close a multi-million dollar fishery, or building a network of protected areas, we've got you covered. eOceans just launched its MVP mobile app for data collection and display of results, and we now redesigning and building it to be more intuitive, collaborative, and educational. The goal of this project is to brainstorm, test, and build a marketing campaign that will 1) build up interest in the new launch and 2) maximize downloads and use in the first month after deployment. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Research market and existing campaigns. eOceans solves a lot of problems for a lot of people -- where should we focus? Brainstorm 10 options for a campaign Shortlist and A/B test 3 options Develop the campaign and build a 4-6 month strategy. Tiny Planet Digital - Marketing, Research & Sales
Tiny Planet Digital (TPD) is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for 5 BIPOC students part of the VFC Intrapreneurship Program . The primary focus for the student will be: Content management - Centralize content calendar for efficiency and tracking (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Blog, Website) Social media growth - Finding innovative ways to grow TPD’s social media presence - increase following, engagement rates, and reaching new audiences within our niches (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) Content diversification - Finding creative ways to produce content while following TPD’s centralized content strategy for all outgoing messaging. For example, TikTok videos, IG reels, IG live, podcasts and more. Research - Conducting ongoing competitor research and reporting to ensure that TPD remains competitive in them marketplace in terms of tech stack, pricing, services, knowledge and more. Conducting ongoing project/client niche research to see how we can better serve our ideal customers. Prospecting Strategy - Evaluate our current customer base and make recommendations for further market penetration; assess our current outreach process and develop and implement targeted prospecting; review our prospect messaging, make improvement recommendations, and create new outreach content. eCommerce - Conducting ongoing research on future ecommerce opportunities. Create strategy for e-commerce shop (How does it connect to and support the rest of Tiny Planet Digital services? Who does it serve? How do we promote the shop? How often do we release products?) Our goal at the end of this experience is: Branding and Marketing Communications - For the students to help us improve our agency's presence and capture greater market share. Market Research - For the students to help us gain a better understanding of our target market and ensure we are optimally positioned and our product and pricing aligns with our target sector/customer. Public Relations - For the students to help us effectively communicate our brand's story and mission to a broad audience. Prospecting Strategy - For the students to help us implement better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boost our sales team's performance. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - For the students to help us generate more traffic and revenue through search engines. Strategic Social Media Marketing - For the students to help us improve our online presence, reach more customers, and effectively promote our brand through compelling content. The research assistants will support the research initiatives under the guidance of our team in economics, project finance, SPACS, Venture Capital/PE in this climate, and update a variety of reports we have. We are also looking to have them published. Also looking for data scraping for leads in North America with a variety of filters. Graduate students are more suitable for this role.
