Biomedical Engineering Capstone

BME498

Sep 1, 2022 - Apr 15, 2023

Do you have a healthcare-related problem that you wish you could get at if you had just a little more time? Multidisciplinary teams of engineering and science (human biology, neuroscience, molecular genetics, etc.) students will work to address an engineering design problem that your organization is facing. The team will participate in the capstone design course with guidance from a faculty member and teaching team with expertise in biomedical engineering and medical device design. By the end of the course the team will present test results to you to demonstrate a feasible solution to your problem.

May 3, 2021 - Sep 1, 2021

Do you have a healthcare-related problem that you wish you could get at if you had just a little more time? Teams of Masters of Engineering (MEng) students will work to address an engineering design problem that your organization is facing. These students typically have an degree in an engineering discipline, life sciences, or biotechnology. The team will receive guidance from a faculty member who teaches medical device design and coordinates biomedical engineering design projects. The students in each team will be expected to work full time on the project for 4 months and demonstrate a feasible solution to your problem at the end of the course.
