Educational Studies Capstone
USL
Educational Studies Capstone students implement a sustainable service project addressing social justice issues in education. Students provide direct service to their community partner to deeply understand the population served and challenges the partner may face. Students engage in student-directed projects corresponding to research and planning completed during the previous semester. Students create realistic solutions to national and local community issues that impact student achievement. Students complete at least 100 hours per a semester.

Educational Studies Internship
Our students participate in a two-semester internship in their senior year to satisfy our degree requirement. The educational studies degree prepares students to work with children, youth, and adults in formal or informal learning environments within nonprofit settings, community and academic institutions, civic organizations, and businesses. As part of their internship, students should be involved in internship activities and have the opportunity to create and implement a Human-Centered Design Project .
